PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device constituted in such a manner that a reproduced signal can be promptly outputted to a television receiver when the reproduction of DVD information is stopped during reproduction to enter a TV mode, thereafter a DVD mode is reentered. SOLUTION: When the TV mode is entered while the DVD information is reproduced, and a reproduced video and a reproduced voice are outputted from the television receiver, a data decorded from the signal read and outputted from the DVD are buffered for a prescribed time into a RAM. After buffering, the reproduction of the DVD recorder is temporarily stopped. Then, when the DVD mode is reentered, the temporary stop is canceled and the data is read out from the RAM and is outputted as the reproduced signal to the television receiver. After the read of the data is completed, the data read from the DVD and decoded is outputted as the reproduced signal to the television receiver. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
