PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording/reproducing device and a recording/reproducing method to continuously reproduce program group, which are recorded and have relevancy from an arbitrary program or reproduce only a specific program. SOLUTION: A management information developing section 402 in a video recording/reproducing device 3, prepares series management information 344 for managing the program group having relevancy as the related series while keeping a sequence relation, and a video recording/reproducing section 35, continuously reproduces the program group having relevancy while keeping the sequence relation, or reproduces only the specific program.
