PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmissive screen and a method for manufacturing the screen characterized in that flatness can be maintained so as to prevent degradation in the picture quality of an image displayed even in a severe environment of high temperature and high humidity or low temperature and that the quality of the outermost surface of a surface base constituting a part of the screen is not damaged by external force. SOLUTION: A lenticular lens sheet that constitutes a part of the screen is prepared by laminating a lens base comprising a lenticular lens part and a light shielding layer on one surface of a light-diffusing holding substrate having high rigidity and enough thickness to hold the sheet, and laminating a surface base to be located at the outermost surface position on the other surface of the substrate. The bases laminated to both the surfaces of the holding substrate are set to be of the same material and the same thickness. The surface base is made of a PET base having a thickness of 75μm or more and a compressive elastic modulus of 60 MPa or more, and is bonded to the holding substrate via a bonding layer having a thickness of 5 to 25μm.
