PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine foam mainly composed of a polycarbonate resin that has excellent impregnation speed with a blowing agent and therefore achieves excellent productivity. SOLUTION: The foam is formed of a resin composition (composition-I) comprised of 100 pts.wt. of (A) a polycarbonate resin (component A) and (B) 0.05-30 pts.wt. of a silicone compound (component B) having (I) a ratio of an aromatic group contained (aromatic group content) of 10-70 wt.% and/or (II) a ratio of an Si-H group contained of 0.1-1.66 mol/100 g, where the foam has a length-average diameter of a cell within the range of 0.01-10μm and cell number density within the range of 10<SP>8</SP>-10<SP>16</SP>pieces/cm<SP>3</SP>.
