Method of manufacturing flexible tube skirts including the following steps: a) providing a multi-layer plastic film; b) cutting a strip out of said multi-layer plastic film; c) producing a cylindrical sleeve by rolling-welding said strip; d) cutting said sleeve to the desired length in order to obtain said tube skirts; characterized in that the strip is cut out of a multi-layer plastic film which has a structure that is symmetrical in relation to its mid-plane, with symmetrical layers having the same thickness and that is made up of the same plastic material, having the same chemical composition and the same molar mass.
