An adjusting apparatus (1) for turning and/or displacing a first element (2) with respect to a second element (3) comprises a swing body (4) and a pivot member (5). The first element (2) is connected displaceably to the swing body (4) and the swing body (4) is connected turnably to the second element (3) through the pivot member (5). The apparatus is provided with a translation lock (9) for locking the first element (2) with respect to the swing body (4) and a rotation lock (10) for locking the swing body (4) with respect to the second element (3). The translation lock (9) and the rotation lock (10) can be activated simultaneously. The adjusting apparatus (1) is be applicable for an adjustable mirror or a microphone stand. The invention is also related to a fast clamp.
