The fan has a spiral-shaped housing (20) including a rotational axis and an air outlet (52) that widens towards an outflow side of the fan. An impeller (26) is placed concentric to the rotational axis at an inside of the fan housing. An electric motor (28) is integrated at a center of the impeller for driving the impeller. An aperture of the air outlet lies on a plane that extends in a radial manner to the housing. A labyrinth seal (64) is provided in a region of an outside circumference between the impeller and the housing, which is made of plastics.
