An apparatus and a method for converting process sequence and a computer readable record medium for embodying the same are provided to reduce errors by converting process sequence information into a PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) program using hardware information. An apparatus for converting process sequence includes a setting unit(24), a symbol database(23), and a process sequence converting unit. The setting unit receives hardware sets for processes. The symbol database stores symbols for PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) programming tool corresponding to the processes. The process sequence converting unit receives process sequence information provided through the hardware sets and process model simulation, and generates a PLC program based on symbols, which are obtained from the symbol database, and sequences of respective processes.
