The present disclosure relates to a buoyant remote control unit for swimm ing pools and spas. The unit includes interconnected front and back sheli me mbers having a printed circuit board positioned therebetween with electrical components for remotely controlling a pool or spa accessory. At least one b utton is overmolded to the front sheli member to form a watertight sea! betw een the button and the front shell member, the button operable to remotely c ontrol a pool or spa accessory. Top and bottom overmolds are formed on the f ront and back shell members, respectively, and a center overmold is formed o n the front and back shell members. The top, bottom, and center overmolds pr ovide a watertight seai for the remote control unit.
