<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insert which is provided with a thermal spray coating high in durability, less in the ruggedness of the surface and excellent in the smoothness of the surface, is used for an injection molding mold having a cavity, and forms the face composing the cavity. <P>SOLUTION: The insert 11 is used in the injection molding mold having the cavity forms the face composing the cavity, and is composed of: (a) a metallic block 22; (b) a metal substrate layer 23 with a thickness of 0.03 to 1 mm formed at least on one surface of the metallic block 22; and (c) a sprayed coating 24 made of ceramics and formed on the metal substrate layer 23. The thermal spray coating 24 has a porosity changing to a thickness direction, and the porosity is a low value as it goes to the side close to the surface of the sprayed coating 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
