<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical leak detector that can test an electrical leak detecting circuit without supplying power supply for loading to a load, and can use low withstanding pressure article as a component used for a circuit for supply/stop of test current. <P>SOLUTION: The existence of abnormality of the electrical leak detecting circuit 25 for detecting the existence of electrical leak by the secondary-side output of a zero-phase current transformer 24 for detecting the balance of the current flowing in output lines 15a and 15b for outputting alternating current to the load is determined in the state where alternating current is not output to the output lines 15a and 15b. When a switching element 28 is put into an ON state by a control signal from a control section 14, test current is supplied to the test line 26 for making the test current flow from a power supply 27 for test to the primary side of the zero-phase current transformer 24.
