摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element which can suppress possibility that alignment of liquid crystal molecules may be confused by static electricity as much as possible even when static electricity arises at a process of producing a birefringent layer containing liquid crystal molecules during progress of an optical element manufacturing process. <P>SOLUTION: The optical element 1 is constituted by forming the birefringent layer 4 containing liquid crystal molecules that are given alignment and are fixed and inducing birefringence of light on an electroconductive film organizer 5 which is made by forming an electroconductive film 3 having electro-conductivity on a surface of a base material 2 having light transmissivity directly or indirectly toward a surface of the electroconductive film 3.
