<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio signal relay apparatus capable of preventing network congestion status that may be generated as a result of audio packet preferential control or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The audio signal relay apparatus sets a signal channel for each IP telephone between a plurality of IP telephones each generating an audio signal using a specific audio codec and an IP network, and relays the audio signals via the signal channel. The present traffic quantity of audio signal to be supplied to its signal channel by the IP telephone is measured in units of IP telephones, and when it is determined that the present traffic quantity exceeds the maximum traffic quantity corresponding to the audio codec, the signal channel of the IP telephone is closed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
