PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and quickly perform focus jump operation. SOLUTION: The optical disk device includes: an objective lens; a photodetecting element; a lens holder; an shaft member piercing through a hole; a focus drive mechanism; a focus drive circuit; a tracking rotation mechanism; a tracking drive circuit; and a control circuit 14. The control circuit 14 includes a drive control part 142, a swinging control part 144 and a switching part 146. The drive control part 142 generates a control signal input to the focus drive circuit and a control signal input to the tracking drive circuit. The swinging control circuit 144 generates a control signal of contents indicating variation in a current value.
