SOLUTION: In switching the capability from capability 1 (a characteristic line A1) for burning only a first burner part to capability 2 (a characteristic line A2) for burning only a second burner part, at a point P1 corresponding to the minimum capability P2 min of the capability 2 at the number before the gas pressure is increased to the maximum capability P1max at the capability 1, it enters the processing for transition to P3 point (relax ignition point) for capability switching. The gas pressure is throttled for the relax ignition to supply gas to the first and second burner part, and after flame is transferred to the second burner part, the first burner is extinguished. At that time, the gas pressure to the second burner part is throttled to the P2 min point to accept the number of capability 1 at the point of time of capability switching.
