PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous emulsion composition obtaining a dried film excellent in hot water resistance, further, excellent in storage stability and having a long usable time. SOLUTION: This aqueous emulsion composition is obtained by blending an acetal compound having a dialkylacetal group and one aldehyde group in its molecule with an aqueous emulsion in which a dispersant is a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin containing an acetoacetic acid ester group and a dispersing substance is a polymer consisting of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer.
