PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bumper mounting structure for a vehicle capable of easily removing a bumper without causing damage and reduction of appearance quality of the bumper. SOLUTION: In the bumper mounting structure for the vehicle, a step part 18 is formed on a side surface panel 4 of a vehicle body by a bent wall 17 toward an inner side of the vehicle body, and a flange 19 is projectedly provided on the bumper 2 covering the step part 18. A bumper side engagement part 20 is formed on the flange 19, a holder side engagement part 29 is formed on a bumper holder 5 attached to the step part 18 of the side surface panel 4, and the holder side engagement part 29 is engaged with the bumper side engagement part 20 to hold the bumper 2. A space S movable with the holder side engagement part 29 is formed between the bent wall of the side surface panel 4 and the holder side engagement part 29, and the holder side engagement part 29 is moved to the bent wall 17 side of the side surface panel 4 in the space S using a tool 31.
