Electrode groups (25, 26) form a traveling-wave electric field in the counterclockwise direction, and a toner (T) stored in a storage chamber (12) circulates on the circumference of a supporting body (16) in the counterclockwise direction by passing a communicating hole (14). The electrode groups (21, 22) form a traveling-wave electric field in the clockwise direction, and the toner (T) transferred to the communicating hole (14) partially circulates on the circumference of a supporting body (15) in the clockwise direction by passing an opening section (13), i.e., a section opposing a photoreceptor drum (5). Since the toner (T) circulates the developing chamber (11) and only the portion supplied to the photoreceptor drum (5) is replenished from the side of the electrode group (25), variance of electrostatically charged state of the toner (T) supplied for developing an electrostatic latent image is suppressed and a stable image can be formed. |
