The connection of steel component (1) with aluminum component (3) useful in car body construction, comprises applying an aluminum layer (2) on the steel component by injecting aluminum particles through cold gas injection with its high speed and welding the aluminum component with the aluminum layer by fusion welding. The aluminum layer is applied only in a single component area with the aluminum component to be welded on the steel component. The thickness of the aluminum layer is 0.5-2 mm. The fusion welding is metal inert gas welding, laser welding and/or plasma welding. An independent claim is included for a component made of steel and aluminum.
