PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple-to-construct, miniaturizable and inexpensive hydraulic control device for an automatic transmission in which the hydraulic control device is switchable into a forward travel stage condition, a reverse travel shift stage condition, a neutral condition or a parking condition in accordance with electric signals with the switching operation of a driver. SOLUTION: The hydraulic control device comprises: a plunger held at a neutral position by a spring; a multiple solenoid part having a casing storing a first coil for moving the plunger to a first position and a second coil for moving the plunger to a second position; a valve housing integrally fixed to the casing and having a supply pressure port connected to a supply pressure oil path, a forward travel port connected to a forward travel oil path, a reverse travel port connected to a reverse travel oil path, and an oil drain port connected to an oil drain path; and a spool fitted in the valve housing and connected to the plunger for controlling a communication relationship among the supply pressure port, the forward travel port, the reverse travel port, and the oil drain port.
