摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a creep control unit of a vehicle which is adapted to enhance fuel economy by performing creep force control according to the gradient. <P>SOLUTION: The creep control unit of the vehicle having an automatic transmission provided with a torque converter with a lock-up clutch is equipped with a throttle opening detecting means which detects throttle opening, a vehicle speed detecting means which detects running speed of the vehicle, a gradient detecting means which detects gradient of road surface, and a lock-up clutch connection control means which controls connection of the lock-up clutch. The creep control unit controls the connection degree of the lock-up clutch on the disconnection side by the lock-up clutch connection control means as the gradient of the road surface is large when the throttle opening is judged to be substantially in the full closed state by the throttle opening detecting means and the shift range is judged to be the running range and the vehicle is in an extremely slow speed or stopping state by the vehicle speed detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p>
