PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a split core for motor in which the dead space can be reduced. SOLUTION: The split core 10 comprises a columnar tooth 11, and a yoke 12 provided to project from the coil side face 11s of the tooth 11. The first core side angleθ<SB>s1</SB>made by the coil side face 11s of the tooth 11 and the side intersection face 12<SB>fs</SB>continuous to the coil side face 11s of the tooth 11 at the yoke 12 is an obtuse angle. The coil side face 11s of the tooth 11 is parallel with the coil side face 12s of the yoke 12. Since the angleθ<SB>s1</SB>is obtuse angle, the slit core 10 can arrange the winding to touch the side intersection face 12<SB>fs</SB>thus reducing the dead space in the slot.
