PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which in order to form an image on a transfer material while driving a latent image carrier by adhesion of the contiguous transfer material, it is made possible to economically obtain a print of high image quality with a small VOC generation amount and no transfer defect on one side or on both sides at the same time with a small toner deposition amount, and by which a print of high image quality excellent in fixing quality can be obtained even in noncontact heat fixing, and to provide a toner for noncontact heat fixing and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In the image forming method for forming an image on a transfer material while driving a latent image carrier by adhesion of the contiguous transfer material, a toner used is obtained by externally adding large particle diameter silica having an average primary particle diameter of 80-200 nm to colored particles comprising at least a cyclic olefin resin, a colorant and a wax and having an average circularity of 0.93-0.97, and fixing is carried out by a noncontact heat fixing system.
