PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict vibration and noise when using a stair lift. SOLUTION: A resin rack 24 is inserted into a housing groove 22 formed in the longitudinal direction, and the rack 24 and a pinion 27 as a driving gear of a lift 14 are engaged with each other through an opening of the housing groove 22. With this structure, since engagement of the rack 24 inside the housing groove 22 of the guide rail 11 with the pinion 27 is a contact of a resin with a metal and they are smoothly engaged, vibration and noise can be restricted in use.
