The filter has a replaceable filter cartridge (1) and a filter housing (2) accommodating the filter cartridge. A cover (3) closes the filter housing and retains with a form-fit connection in the filter housing. A snap-in pin exhibits an actuating ramp that stays in interaction with a bayonet connection during rotatable closing of the cover. The actuating ramp is provided with a sliding edge running transverse to a rotation direction and a cartridge direction (8) and a locking edge that runs transverse to the rotation direction.
