A method and a system for transferring information by predicting request information of a user in the network are provided to offer the information requested from a user in response to a user request by predicting an information request time/contents of a user and loading the requested information in an idle time slot, and receive the requested information through P2P(Peer-to-Peer) communication with neighboring systems when the requested information is not found in a cache area. An information collector(300) collects terminal use information including information request time of information requested from a terminal user and a type of the requested information. A pattern analyzer(310) checks an information request pattern of the user and a network load change pattern on the basis of the collected terminal use information. A cache storing part(320) stores the information, which is predicted to be requested from the user, in a cache area in the network during an idle time slot of the network by using the checked pattern. A neighboring terminal searcher(330) searches neighboring terminals capable of performing P2P communication in the network and receives the predicted information through the neighboring terminals.
