The device has housing sections (1-3) with a reservoir (R), and an operating knob (27) movable relative to the sections in dosing and adjusting directions to adjust product dose. The housing section (3) and knob have a locking unit and a counter locking unit that are formed such that the movement of the knob in one of the directions has a smaller resistance in contrast to the movement in other direction. A spring unit (32) e.g. pressure spring and torsion spring, is coupled with a piston (10).
