Kit for brightening teeth, comprises (a) an optionally a gel former containing alkaline, aqueous sodium fluoride solution; (b) a dried gel available in film strip containing at least a gel former, phosphate- or hydrogen phosphate ions, optionally at least an amino acid, optionally fluoride, optionally glycerin, optionally a carboxylic acid or a buffer system for one of the pH value of 4-7; and (c) a dried gel available in film strip containing at least a gel former, calcium-ion and optionally glycerin. Independent claims are included for: (1) producing a kit comprising preparing a solution (a) by adjusting the sodium fluoride solution to a pH of 12-14 and optionally reacting with 2-20 wt.% of gelatin; preparing a gel (b) by dissolving sodium dihydrogen phosphate (0.1-2 mol/l), sodium fluoride (0.01-2 mol/l), amino acid (0.05-1 mol/l) and acetic acid (2-10 wt.%) in water; adjusting the pH value with lye to 3.5-6; processing the solution with 10-40 wt.% of glycerin and 5-20 wt.% of gelatin to a viscous gel, coating of the another liquid gel, strong gel film (200-400 mu m), drying and slicing into precisely adjusted pieces or strips; and preparing a gel (c) by preparing a 0.5-3 molar calcium chloride solution and adjusting the pH value with lye to 3.5-6, processing the solution with 10-40 wt.% of glycerin, 5-20 wt.% of gelatin to a viscous gel, and coating of the another liquid gel, strong gel film (200-400 mu m), drying and slicing into precisely adjusted pieces or strips; and (2) a cosmetic brightening of teeth comprising pre-treating the tooth surface with a solution (a) or applying and massaging with a solution (a); applying gel (b) on the tooth surface; applying gel (c) on gel (b); and providing for an impact time of 2-10 hours. |
