METHOD FOR MANAGING TITLE OF DIGITAL VIDEO BROADCASTING RECORDER

A method for managing titles in a digital broadcasting recorder is provided to classify and record titles using contents information by genre provided from a digital broadcasting signal, make the DB of the classified titles, and implement searching DB, thereby managing recorded titles effectively. A method for managing titles in a digital broadcasting recorder comprises the following steps of: applying intrinsic tags to titles to record(S102); reading contents information provided from a digital broadcasting signal(S104); classifying and recording the recording titles according to the read contents information; and recording a contents nibble level value of the recording title with a corresponding tag to classify the recording titles by genre when DVB(Digital Video Broadcasting) is recorded(S106,S108).
