A backlight unit is provided to prevent eddy currents from being induced to a cover bottom by a magnetic flux leaked from a transformer of an inverter, thereby reducing power loss caused by the eddy currents. An inverter PCB(Printed Circuit Board)(160) generates AC(Alternating Current) voltage applied to a lamp(120). A transformer(170) is formed on the inverter PCB. A magnetic flux blocking layer(200) is formed between a cover bottom(140) and the inverter PCB. According as a magnetic flux leaked from the transformer is blocked by the magnetic flux blocking layer, the leaked magnetic flux is not linked with the cover bottom. Therefore, eddy currents are not induced. |
