A liquid crystal display device and a method of fabricating the same are provided to form a storage electrode with transparent metal to secure the storage capacitance, and to form gate wirings and the storage electrode by a photolithography method including a halftone mask and a diffraction mask to form the storage electrode without an additional mask process. A liquid crystal display device comprises a substrate, gate wirings(101,111) and data wirings(103a,103b), a thin film transistor, a pixel electrode(109), and a storage electrode(121). The gate and data wirings are arranged on the substrate alternately. The thin film transistor is placed at a crossed area between the gate and data wirings. The pixel electrode is contacted with the thin film transistor and the drain electrode. A part of the storage electrode is overlapped with the pixel electrode, and the storage electrode is made of transparent metal. The gate wirings and the gate electrode of the thin film transistor are made of a transparent metal layer and a meta layer. |
