A display device of an electronic ink type is provided to implement a double display at low costs and high efficiency, thereby maximizing display effects and minimizing a space necessary for the double display. In an electronic ink panel, plural pixels are arranged in a matrix form. An upper black matrix(140) is formed in an upper part of the electronic ink panel as having a predetermined pattern. A lower black matrix(141) is formed in a lower part of the electronic ink panel as having a pattern of being alternated with the upper black matrix. The electronic ink panel comprises the following parts. Upper and lower substrates(110,120) face each other. Upper and lower transparent electrodes(114,160) are respectively formed in the inside of the upper and lower substrates as facing each other. An electronic ink layer(118) comprises ball type microcapsules(118a) distributed between the upper and lower transparent electrodes. |
