FILTER AND PLASMA DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

A filter and a plasma display device including the same are provided to improve bright room contrast and to secure a transmittance of internal light toward a front side by reducing reflection of external light. A front reflecting layer(12) is installed at a front side of a base film(15). A front black coating layer(11) is installed at a front side of the front reflecting layer. A rear black coating layer(13) is installed at a rear side of the base film. A rear reflecting layer(14) is arranged at a backside of the rear black coating layer. The front reflecting layer is formed with a plurality of stripes extended from an upper surface of the base film. The front reflecting layer includes a plurality of cylinders formed on the upper surface of the base film. The rear black coating layer is arranged in a position corresponding to the front reflecting layer and has the same sectional area as the sectional area of the front reflecting layer.
