摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass body having high proton conductivity and a method for producing the same, and to provide a water electrolysis apparatus, a gas generating apparatus, a fuel cell, and a hydrogen sensor comprising the glass body having high proton conductivity. <P>SOLUTION: The glass body having high proton conductivity contains a P component of 5-80 mol% in terms of P<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>and a H component of 1-70 mol% in terms of H<SB>2</SB>O. The water electrolysis apparatus comprises an electrolyte phase formed by the glass body having proton conductivity, a first electrode which is provided at one side of the electrolyte phase and to which voltage is applied, a second electrode which is provided at the other side of the electrolyte phase and to which voltage is applied, and a water-supplying channel for supplying the water to be electrolyzed when the voltage is applied to the first electrode and the second electrode, wherein the electrolyte phase is composed of the glass body having high proton conductivity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
