A liquid crystal display device is provided to form corrugated parts at first and second sides of a pixel electrode and to shorten distance between inner rear parts of the corrugated parts and cut parts of the common electrode to improve permeability and to increase response speed. A liquid crystal display device comprises a pixel electrode(191), a gate line(121), a data line(171), and a common electrode. The pixel electrode includes first and second sub pixels(191a,191b) which are separated from each other. The gate line transfers a gate signal to the pixel electrode. The data line transfers data voltage to the pixel electrode. The common electrode, having a slope direction determining member, faces the pixel electrode. The pixel electrode includes first and second sides horizontal to the data line. The slope direction determining member has a straight line part horizontal to the data line or the gate line. The first and second sub pixel electrodes include multiple projections. The slope direction determining member includes cut parts(70a,70b). |
