An apparatus for testing breath is provided to measure an amount of carboxyhemoglobin in blood from exhalation by using a carbon monoxide, an exhalation input unit, a control unit, and a display unit. An apparatus(100) for testing breath includes a carbon monoxide sensor(50), an exhalation input unit(40), a control unit(60), and a display unit(20). The carbon monoxide sensor detects concentration of carbon monoxide from exhalation. The exhalation input unit has a bent structure and supplies the exhalation to the carbon monoxide sensor. The exhalation input unit includes an inhalation device on one end, an auxiliary outlet on the other end, and an outlet. A user exhales to the inhalation device and the auxiliary outlet controls a pressure of the exhalation. The outlet is connected to the carbon monoxide sensor between the inhalation device and the auxiliary outlet. The control unit converts the concentration into an amount of the carboxyhemoglobin in blood. The display unit displays the amount of the carboxyhemoglobin.
