A system and a method for providing a customized multimedia ARS are provided to supply a service menu and guide information for automatic guide based on collected customer terminal information and customer characteristic information, thereby quickly providing desired service menu and guide information in a form optimized to terminal environment of a customer. An information collecting device(10) collects profile information, terminal information and service information for a customer subscribed in a customized ARS(Automatic Response Service). A context DB(Database)(20) stores the collected information. A context application server(30) searches a service menu, corresponding to terminal environment and service usage history of the customer, and guide information from the context DB based on the terminal information and service information. The context application service provides the searched service menu and guide information. A media server(50) converts the service menu and guide information so as to be suitable for the terminal information of the customer. To the context application, a multimedia ARS device(40) requests a customized ARS for a customer terminal(70) where a service session is connected. The multimedia ARS device transmits the service menu, guide information and terminal information provided from the context application service according to the request to the media server. By using the service menu and guide information converted in the media server, the multimedia ARS device provides the customized ARS to the customer terminal. |
