A propeller shaft is provided to prevent breakage due to displacement of a vehicle by installing a displacement compensating unit which allows a spine shaft to slide in a boss for length compensation. A propeller shaft, which connects a transmission and a differential gear to transfer power to a final reduction gear, comprises a first flange(10), a displacement compensating unit(20), a body(30), and a second flange(40). The first flange is connected to the transmission. The displacement compensating unit, connected to the first flange to compensate displacement, comprises a boss(22) connected to the first flange, a spline shaft(24) coated with nylon and inserted into the boss with one side connected to the body, a cap(26) connected outside the spline shaft to prevent particles from entering inside, and an oil seal formed on the cap allowing the displacement compensating unit to freely move while preventing lubricant coated on the spline shaft from leaking outside the cap.
