A mobile communication terminal equipped with a roll-key and an input signal processing method using the terminal are provided to prevent a function from being performed regardless of a user's intention when the roll-key is operated on idle screen, and to avoid an unintended operation when a slide phone is pushed up. A roll-key(110) outputs a signal in accordance with up/down rotational actions of a roller(111) protruded from a predetermined part on a front side of a terminal. A controller outputs a control signal for performing a hot-key action by recognizing the rotational actions of the roll-key in call waiting state. A display unit(140) outputs a screen for realizing a corresponding action according to a signal provided from the controller.
