An air diffusion equipment for cleaning an immersed module cassette is provided to clean membranes in the cassette while driving at least one selected from an air diffusion part and a cassette in a regular form when cleaning the cassette, and a method for cleaning an immersed module cassette using the air diffusion equipment is provided. As a method for cleaning a cassette that is an immersed module assembly with bubbles formed in an air diffusion part installed under the cassette, the method for cleaning the cassette comprises cleaning the cassette while driving at least one selected from the air diffusion part and the cassette in a regular form, wherein an air diffusion area contacting the cassette while the bubbles formed in the air diffusion part flow upward is not more than 50% relative to an exposed area of the cassette required in cleaning of the cassette. In an air diffusion equipment for cleaning a cassette, comprising an air supply part(40), an air supply pipe(30), and an air diffusion part(20) which are in communication with one another, the air diffusion part being positioned under the cassette within a raw water tank(50), the air diffusion equipment further comprises a drive part(90) for driving at least one of the air diffusion part and the cassette in a regular form, wherein the air diffusion part is installed only on a portion of a lower face of the cassette and has not more than 50% of an air diffusion area relative to an exposed area of the cassette. Further, at least one selected from the air diffusion part and the cassette goes and returns in a left and a right directions.
