An apparatus and a method for providing clock information in a mobile communication system are provided to offer proper information to each of time slots by using a software method. An apparatus for providing clock information in a mobile communication system includes a clock divider(200), a time slot information generator(210), and a processor(220-1,220-2,220-3). The clock divider is formed to divide clock information and to output the divided clock information. The time slot information generator generates time slot information by using the clock information, and transmits the generated time slot information to one or more processors. The time slot information is stored in a buffer(223-1,223-2,223-3). The processor is operated by using the late time slot information.
