An adaptive linear interpolation method using new distance weights, an adaptive linear interpolation method using local patterns and an adaptive linear interpolation method using pattern weights is provided to improve accuracy and supply a superior function for requesting low calculation complexity. An adaptive linear interpolation method using new distance weights comprises the followings steps. If a video is inputted, a distance weight expressed in a cubic polynomial or a quadric polynomial is newly designated based on pixel values of pixels close to an interpolation object pixel among the inputted videos. By using the designated new distance weight, an interpolation pixel value is determined.
