A plasma display panel is provided to suppress a halation phenomenon by adjusting a thickness of bus electrode to be greater than a half thickness of a dielectric layer. A plasma display panel includes first and second substrates(111,121), barrier ribs(130), first electrodes(131,132), second electrodes(122), and a first dielectric layer(115). The first and second substrates are arranged to be opposed to each other. The barrier ribs are arranged to define plural discharge cells between the substrates. The first electrodes are arranged to be elongated in a cross direction between the substrates. The second electrodes are arranged to cross the first electrodes. The first dielectric layer is arranged to cover the first electrode on a surface of the first substrate facing the second substrate. The first electrodes include transparent electrodes and bus electrodes(131a,131b). The bus electrodes are arranged over the barrier ribs and have an electrical conductivity greater than that of the transparent electrode. A thickness of the bus electrode is greater than a half thickness of the first dielectric layer.
