An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a driving method thereof are provided to achieve price competitiveness by reducing the number of output channels of an expensive data driver IC(Integrated Circuit) for driving a data line by reducing the number of the data lines connected to the whole sub pixels into 3/4. Plural data lines(DL) define a pixel area by crossing plural gate lines(GL). Plural first and second pixels(142a,142b) are alternatively arranged in the same direction as the gate line, and respectively include at least three sub pixels(S1,S2,S3). One of the at least three sub pixels is connected with a gate line different from the rest sub pixels, and has a size bigger than the rest sub pixels. The first and second pixels share at least one data line. |
