A method and a device for restricting transmission of a spam message in a mobile terminal are provided to find out a spam sender easily by easily counting and analyzing the number of messages transmitted from the same sender mobile terminal during a predetermined period. An interface module(610) requests message transmission complete information to an SMSC(Short Message Service Center), receives the message transmission complete information from the SMSC, and requests an HLR(Home Location Register) to block a mobile terminal corresponding to a mobile number checked as a spam sender through a customer management system. A database managing module(640) integrates and reconfigures the collected message transmission complete information by each sender number of the mobile terminals. A database(630) stores the reconfigured transmission complete information. A message counting module(650) periodically collects the number of messages checked as the message transmitted from the mobile terminal based on the information stored in the database.
