A kettle is provided to allow a user to easily clean inside and outside of the kettle and protect a user's hand from burning due to heat conducted to the handle by installing a detachable handle to a kettle body through a locking device formed on an upper side of the handle. A kettle having a detachable handle comprises a kettle body, a lid, an upper knob, a handle(4), a spout, a lower knob(6), a locking device(7), a front fixing pin, and a back fixing pin. The locking device formed on the upper side of the handle is equipped to allow detachable mounting of the handle to the kettle body.
