LCD WITH BLACK/WHITE LCD PANEL

摘要

An LCD having a black/white LCD panel is provided to implement an image of a preset color by using the black/white LCD panel and reduce its thickness and manufacturing costs by integrating an external color filter with an optical sheet configuring a backlight unit. A black/white LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel(410) displays images. A color filter(420) is disposed in the rear of the black/white LCD panel, filters inputted light so as to have preset color, and outputs the filtered light to the black/white LCD panel. A backlight unit(430) includes plural optical sheets(433,434,435) and outputs white light to the color filter. The color filter is integrated with one of the plural optical sheets. Upper/lower transparent substrates control an arrangement state of liquid crystal elements.
