发明名称 ANTISENSE DNA OF SWEETPOTATO EXPANSIN CDNA AND HIGH-YIELD TRANSGENIC SWEETPOTATO USING THE SAME
摘要 An anti-sense DNA of an expansin gene derived from Ipomoea batatas(IbExpansin) cDNA is provided to promote development of storage roots by decreasing longitudinal growth of plant roots, thereby being effectively used in order to develop a highly productive transgenic storage roots crop. A PCR primer for amplifying a DNA fragment including a sequence of SEQ ID : NO. 9 is described as SEQ ID : NO. 10 or 11. A method for increasing an output of sweet potato storage roots comprises the steps of: (a) inserting an anti-sense DNA of a sweet potato expansin gene into a plant expression; and (b) introducing the vector into the sweet potato. A method for preparing a transgenic sweet potato with increased output of storage roots comprises a step of introducing an anti-sense DNA of a sweet potato expansin gene into a sweet potato.
