An apparatus for storing broadcast programs and a method for displaying a storage time using the same are provided to store information about time when a corresponding broadcast program is broadcasted in storing the broadcast programs and display the storage time information of the broadcast program stored according to a point where an indicator is positioned on a progress bar, thereby enabling a user to search a broadcast program to reproduce easily. A method for displaying a storage time comprises the following steps of: detecting the time information of broadcast programs if the storage signal of the received broadcast programs(S104); storing the detected time information and the broadcast programs in a PVR(Personal Video Recorder)(S106); displaying the broadcast programs stored in the PVR up to now in correspondence to a progress bar if a time shift function is executed by a user(S108,S110); detecting broadcast programs stored in correspondence to a point, where an indicator is positioned, and the stored time information if the indicator on the progress bar moves(S112); and displaying time, when the detected broadcast programs are stored, on the progress bar(S114).
