The arrangement (10) has a shifting gear control lever (12), whose rod (14) has an intermediate part (22) carries a reversed hemispherical cup (36). The cup has a diameter higher than that of an opening (24) of a console (26), and is centered on a center of a ball-joint connection (18), where the cup slides under the perimeter of the opening to close the opening. A joint (38) is arranged between perimeter of the opening and the cup. The intermediate part has a support device (40), which is hooked to an inner face (42) of the cup to plate an outer face of the cup to contact the joint.
